Unpleasant experience with Circuitcity

在美國住了五年，第一次在網路上寫人負評^^||||



I've just bought a Fuju Finepix Z5fd from circuit city. Even though the price from circuit city is more expensive compared to Broadway.com or preferredphoto.com etc., I chose circuit city because I worried the online store would sell refurbished camera as "new" item. I definitely want a BRAND NEW camera.

However, buying from circuitcity doesn't mean that you are guaranteed to get a BRAND NEW item in ORIGINAL price ($40 more expensive than online stores). I ordered online and picked up my camera in the local circuitcity store. Everything looked fine. I drove back home (30 hour drive under $2.99 gasoline price) and found that someone already opened the box! There was a scratch on the camera, one cable and one charger missing!!! Apparently, it is a returned item!!



I dialed the local store phone number immediately. However, the phone number led me to automatic system and never an agent in store!! Therefore, I had to drive 30 hour again to the store to ask for exchange!!

The customer service was awful!!!! The same person (a white tall guy) who handed me the used camera didn't even apologize after knowing the product was not new. He asked a camera man to help me. The camera man was fine, he apologized and found a real NEW item for me. During the check out, I told the white tall guy to be careful in the future. I didn't even say anything more!!! I just told him to be careful. He answered that this returned camera was from the other store, not from his store. MEANING WHAT? Meaning that you don't have any responsibility at all for selling an used product (cable and charger missing!!) to a customer in ORIGINAL price? Making a mistake is ok, but saying its not your responsibility SUCKS!

Anyway, I just want to remind you people reading my review that check the product you picked up immediately while you are still in store!!! I spent one more hour driving (gee, high-price gasoline and precious time) today coming back and forth for my camera. Don't trust circuitcity because they are big. You can still get a returned and uninspected product!!
